Job#: 3047687 Temporary Material PlannerPosition SummaryThe Temporary Material Planner will support daily material planning and execution activities within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for monitoring material availability, identifying shortages and supply constraints, tracking open supply actions, and ensuring material transactions are processed accurately and on time. The position provides operational support to improve production readiness, inventory visibility, and schedule adherence across manufacturing and aftermarket operations.



Key ResponsibilitiesReview material requirements, shortages, and critical demand items using ERP and planning systems to support production schedules and customer requirements.



Perform routine material availability checks and communicate risks, constraints, and required actions to cross-functional stakeholders.



Monitor open purchase requisitions, purchase orders, stock transfers, and production order components to ensure materials are progressing toward availability.



Ensure material transactions are processed accurately, including receipts, transfers, inventory adjustments, confirmations, and other inventory-related activities.



Compare material availability dates, supplier commitments, requirement dates, and production schedules to identify potential gaps impacting delivery performance.



Partner with Supply Chain, Production, Purchasing, Receiving, Inventory Control, Customer Service, and Master Data teams to resolve material issues and improve visibility.



Maintain action trackers and follow up on open material concerns to support on-time production execution.



Support daily and weekly material readiness reviews through accurate reporting and status updates.



Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred.



Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, inventory control, material planning, purchasing, warehouse operations, or production support.



Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.



Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including filtering, sorting, formulas, and maintaining tracking reports.



Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately within defined processes.



Effective written and verbal communication skills.



Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.



Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting material planning, purchasing, inventory management, or production scheduling functions.



Experience using SAP transactions related to purchase orders, requisitions, inventory movements, stock transfers, or production orders.



Familiarity with Lean DNA or other supply chain planning and visibility tools.



Understanding of lead times, supplier commitments, inventory planning, and material availability concepts.

CompensationPay Rate:
