Job Description

GENERAL PURPOSE
Responsible for ordering and maintaining materials needed for production. Daily overseeing for accurate inventory levels and generate PO's for items needing ordered. Providing solutions and ideas on how additional improvements can be made to help with reducing inventory levels. 100% ownership from start to finish on materials/supplies purchased. Maintain housekeeping and 5S to standards set by management. Follow all WestRock Core Values and Behaviors. Additional job duties as assigned by department manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Be responsible for direct and indirect materials used in the production process. Develop order patterns, lead time requirements and maintain day to day inventory levels of assigned materials. Participate in periodic inventory counts as required. Create PO's for specific vendors, track and report on delivery issues. Ensure PO completion and resolve AP and pricing issues as necessary. Report material scheduling issues to customer service, scheduling, and production as needed. Maintain reports, databases, and tracking of required metrics. Coordinate document control for department. Provide support as needed to other Material Coordinators. Conduct ad hoc analysis as requested by management
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required. Experience creating and managing purchase orders and working with suppliers/vendors. Strong understanding of inventory management and material coordination. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; ERP/MRP system experience preferred. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain accurate records, reports, and inventory data. Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of 5S and continuous improvement practices preferred.
