The Tech Logistics Support Technician will provide daily logistical support-on site, for the Tech Logistics North America Hub located in North Carolina. The role requires the applicant to master the daily logistics tasks which make up the logistics role. The logistics tech role interacts and supports all other roles in the TechHub. Daily tasks may include and are not limited to: 1. Bundle assets and consumables for shipment to end users for requests. 2. Processing/Shipping Hardware Reclaims to US and Canada for requests. Use UPS WorldShip Application to ship assets, return cartons, and send ERLs (electronic return labels) to users outside of the normal Service Now ticketing system. Trac k shipments for user inquiries and provide information to resolve delayed and lost shipments, by contacting UPS and creating incidents. Work in ServiceNow to create requests, document updates, complete tasks, monitor requests for user updates and respond with required information in a timely efficient manner. Assist in the Preparation of obsolete equipment for disposa l and coordination of salvage shipments (ITAD) when required. Maintain Inventory of supplies to ensure proper stock of boxes and packing materials associated with shipping/receiving. Verify and update receiving spreadsheets for shipments of new PCs and consumables when required. Check logistics equipment for proper operation to ensure safety, escalate concerns for repair or replacement to TechHub team lead. Assisting/Cross training in other areas as needed to ensure positive user experiences within SLA. Strong communication skills both verbal and written to support clients and team members to ensure a positive environment. The ideal candidate should have 1-3 years' relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: Logistics (Shipping /Receiving), Inventory Control , ITAD, fulfilling hardware requests through a ticketing program (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.), and excellent written and oral communication skills. Willing to train the right person with a team-oriented attitude.
Other qualities and duties:
a) Knowledge of domestic (US) and/or international shipping procedures and applications such as UPS Worldship, FEDEX, DHL, etc., b) Post ticket updates for all individual work completed. c) Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Office Suite -Outlook, Excel, and Word. d) This position requires standing, bending and lifting packages up to 50lbs. without assistance. e) The ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring flexibility and teamwork. i.) Perform other duties as assigned to help team succeed and meet goals
