Job Description:
Reporting to Production Planning Manager Functional Reporting Lines Production, Procurement, Warehouse, Customer Service, Logistics Direct Reports N/A Position Purpose, Responsibilities, and Key Duties As a Supply Chain Assistant, you play a pivotal role in supporting the daily planning and execution of the supply chain by coordinating production schedules, inventory management, purchasing activities, and logistics. In this role, you will contribute to maintaining high service levels while optimizing inventory, production efficiency, and material availability. Key Responsibilities Planning & Inventory Management Support daily and weekly production scheduling activities; Monitor raw material and packaging inventory levels; Review inventory reports and identify replenishment needs; Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records within the ERP system. Procurement & Supplier Coordination Prepare purchase orders for raw materials and packaging; Monitor supplier confirmations and delivery schedules; Follow up on overdue purchase orders; Maintain supplier master data and purchasing documentation. Production & Logistics Support Coordinate material availability with Production and Warehouse teams; Support inbound and outbound logistics planning; Assist with freight scheduling and transportation coordination; Monitor production and shipment priorities to ensure customer service targets are achieved. Reporting & Continuous Improvement Prepare daily and weekly supply chain reports; Monitor KPIs including inventory levels, production adherence, and supplier performance; Support inventory reconciliation and cycle count activities; Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
Position Requirements Qualifications and Prerequisites Experience :
4-6 years of experience in supply chain, planning, logistics, purchasing, or manufacturing operations preferred ;
Education:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field;
Languages:
Fluent English required. Technical Skills Strong Microsoft Excel skills; ERP experience (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or similar) preferred. Soft Skills Strong analytical and organizational skills; High attention to detail and accuracy; Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment; Excellent communication and teamwork skills; Proactive attitude with a continuous improvement mindset. Eligibility Must be able to work on-site at our Battleboro, NC facility; Must be authorized to work in the United States; Relocation assistance is not provided.
