- As a Logistics Technician supporting the Interiors Engineering Development Lab (EDL), you will be a critical part of the operation that keeps engineering, prototype development, testing, and certification projects moving forward.
From managing incoming materials to supporting inventory control and shipping operations, your work will directly contribute to the successful execution of aviation innovation and product development initiatives. This role is ideal for a logistics professional who enjoys solving problems, coordinating with multiple teams, and ensuring materials and inventory are where they need to be, when they need to be there.
- What You'll Do
- In this role, you will: + Serve as the primary Receiving Associate for the Engineering Development Lab.
+ Coordinate directly with freight carriers to manage the daily unloading and receipt of incoming materials and equipment.
+ Partner with buyers and management teams to resolve receipt discrepancies and shipment issues.
+ Support inventory management activities to maintain accurate stock levels and material availability.
+ Investigate and help resolve issues involving damaged, missing, or lost materials.
+ Assist with inventory audits and inventory control processes.
+ Provide backup support for shipping and inventory control functions as needed.
+ Maintain accurate records and documentation related to receiving, shipping, and inventory transactions.
+ Support engineering, prototype, testing, and certification activities through effective logistics coordination.
+ Help ensure materials and resources are available to meet project timelines and operational goals.
- Required Qualifications
- We're looking for candidates who bring: + High School Diploma or Associate's Degree (AA/AS) or other 2-year post-high school training with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and/or training
- OR•+ In the absence of a High School Diploma, GED, or Associate's Degree, a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience Additionally, candidates should have: + Knowledge of basic inventory, transportation, and manufacturing concepts + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment + Basic computer proficiency + Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel + Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements •Preferred Qualifications•The ideal candidate may also possess: + Experience in a highly regulated industry, particularly aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, or logistics + Experience supporting testing, quality assurance, or engineering lab environments + Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities + Knowledge of basic problem-solving and root cause analysis techniques + Experience using ERP systems such as SAP + Forklift and Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) operating experience + A proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational challenges •Why Join Us?
