Production Planner Penn Engineering - 3.5 Winston-Salem, NC Job Details 4 hours ago Qualifications Resource planning methods Manufacturing facility Productivity software Manufacturing company experience Full Job Description Job Summary This position develops and maintains production schedules for assigned product families that will meet customer requirements as well as adhere to company designated inventory objectives. Successfully meeting this goal will require frequent coordination and cooperation with other functional areas, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales, Marketing, Quality and the Tool Room. Essential Functions Analyze customer demand and create a plan to satisfy requirements utilizing information in JDE and planning reports. Develop and maintain an effective communication process that informs sales personnel of potential discrepancies between our supply plan and the customer requirements. Release work orders in a timely manner that will ensure adherence to the supply plan. Work with manufacturing personnel to ensure on time completion of the shop floor schedules and initiate the resolution process for any capacity problems that occur. Monitor outside process suppliers to ensure on time completion of purchase orders. Source product from other PEM facilities to support supply plan. Track past due and on time shipments for assigned product famili Tasks Responsible for additional projects such as: Developing action plans for scheduling new processes. Updating the manufacturing outlook as required. Other Duties Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Physical Requirements Visual acuity to work on computers Ability to travel by air, as well as other conventional modes of transportation. Education/Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business preferred. Five (5) years of manufacturing systems experience. Basic knowledge of MRP principles. Multi-process experience strongly preferred. Proficient with Microsoft office. Good verbal and written communication skills.
