In this vital role, you will drive the procurement and planning processes that ensure seamless production operations. Your expertise in supply chain management, inventory control, and ERP systems will enable us to optimize material flow, reduce costs, and meet production schedules efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced manufacturing environment where proactive planning and strategic purchasing are essential for success. Responsibilities Manage procurement activities using ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS to source materials from reliable suppliers Develop and execute production schedules aligned with demand planning and manufacturing requirements Monitor inventory levels through logistics inventory management and inventory management systems, ensuring optimal stock levels while minimizing excess Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, logistics, quality assurance, and supplier teams to coordinate materials flow and resolve supply issues promptly Conduct supplier management activities including evaluating performance, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong supplier relationships Utilize spreadsheets and other tools for demand forecasting, inventory analysis, and procurement reporting Oversee warehouse operations related to materials storage, inventory control, and logistics to support lean manufacturing practices Issue internal work orders for scheduling and tracking production Requirements Proven experience in purchasing and production planning within a manufacturing environment Strong technical proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, or similar platforms Extensive knowledge of supply chain management, inventory management systems, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and demand planning processes Hands-on experience with logistics, warehouse operations, and inventory control techniques Excellent cross-functional communication skills to coordinate with multiple departments and external suppliers Ability to analyze data using spreadsheets and leverage technical tools for effective decision-making Familiarity with contracts management, lean manufacturing principles, and procurement best practices Prior experience in a manufacturing company with exposure to production scheduling, materials management, and logistics is highly desirable Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
