It's more than a job ‎ Kuehne + Nagel is seeking a Global Sea Logistics Trade Specialist (Transpacific Eastbound) to join our industry-leading Sea Logistics team. In this strategic, high-visibility global role, you will work across pricing, sales, carrier management, and key account teams to drive growth and shape our sea freight strategy. You will play a key role in negotiating with major ocean carriers, supporting global tenders, managing critical capacity commitments, and influencing commercial and pricing decisions that directly impact business performance and customer success. How you create impact Lead global tender management and commercial pricing strategy, proposal development, and executive-level customer presentations Negotiate competitive ocean freight rates, capacity and allocation agreements with major carriers Optimize allocation and yield by aligning demand forecasts with carrier space and contract commitments, ensuring successful execution Manage short-term market movements and pricing, including rate monitoring, pricing governance, and commercial decision-making Partner with global pricing, sales, and account teams to support commercial strategies, customer retention initiatives, and new business opportunities Analyze market trends, trade lane dynamics, carrier strategies, and macroeconomic factors to inform pricing, procurement, and growth strategies Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert in customer engagements, including presentations, QBRs, business development, and executive customer discussions Act as the commercial bridge between carriers, sales, and customers, balancing market opportunities, capacity, and customer requirements to deliver competitive supply chain solutions What we would like you to bring Bachelor's degree in economics, business administration, supply chain management, or related field 6+ years of experience in ocean freight, logistics, trade management, procurement, pricing, or a related commercial function Strong understanding of ocean freight market dynamics, trade lanes, carrier networks, and commercial pricing strategies Ability to travel regularly, including domestically and internationally Advanced Excel and data analysis skills (experience with Tableau/Business Objects preferred) Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, global environment Demonstrated ability to influence commercial outcomes and manage competing priorities across customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship. Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
