This is an important front-office position for someone who understands that exceptional patient care begins with an exceptional patient experience. The ideal candidate is confident managing a busy dental schedule, communicating with patients professionally, and working closely with the clinical team to keep the practice running smoothly. Dental office experience is required. Experience with Dentrix Ascend is a priority. Responsibilities Welcome patients with a warm, professional, and positive attitude. Manage the daily appointment schedule efficiently and proactively. Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments. Answer incoming calls and respond to patient questions professionally. Coordinate appointments for new patients, existing patients, hygiene, restorative treatment, and follow-up care. Manage cancellations, no-shows, waitlists, and schedule openings. Identify opportunities to keep the schedule productive while maintaining an excellent patient experience. Communicate appointment and treatment information clearly to patients. Coordinate closely with dentists, hygienists, dental assistants, and the front-office team. Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information. Assist with treatment scheduling and follow-up appointments. Accurately document patient information and appointment details in the practice management system. Use Dentrix Ascend for scheduling, patient records, and front-office functions. Assist with patient check-in and check-out as needed. Collect copayments, deductibles, and outstanding patient balances when required. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Help maintain a clean, organized, welcoming, and professional reception area. Support the overall success of the practice through excellent customer service and teamwork. Perform additional administrative and front-office responsibilities as needed. Required Qualifications Previous dental office experience is
REQUIRED.
Experience using Dentrix Ascend is highly preferred and will be given priority. Strong understanding of dental scheduling and front-office operations. Familiarity with dental terminology and common dental procedures. Knowledge of dental insurance, copayments, deductibles, and patient billing is strongly preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional customer-service and patient-relations skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced dental environment. Professional appearance, positive attitude, and dependable work ethic. Comfortable working with computers and dental practice management software. Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and administrative team members. Bilingual skills are a plus but not required. The Ideal Candidate Our ideal candidate is experienced, dependable, polished, motivated, and patient-focused .
