Overview:

This organization specializes in advanced coating systems, modified release technologies and functional excipients for pharmaceutical dosage forms. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating domestic and international shipments while ensuring compliance with import/export regulations, transportation requirements, and internal quality standards. This position works closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to support timely, accurate movement of materials throughout the supply chain.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Coordinate inbound and outbound domestic and international shipments. Monitor shipment activity and proactively resolve transportation or delivery issues. Prepare and maintain import/export documentation in compliance with applicable regulations. Coordinate with freight carriers, customs brokers, and third-party logistics providers. Ensure compliance with customs regulations, import/export requirements, and brokerage processes. Investigate shipping discrepancies, shipment delays, and transportation claims. Process freight invoices and ensure accurate documentation and recordkeeping. Track domestic and international shipments from origin through final delivery. Assist with freight audits, transportation reporting, and month-end activities. Support inventory movement, shipping documentation, and warehouse coordination. Communicate effectively with internal departments and external logistics partners. Provide backup support for Shipping Specialists and cross-functional logistics activities as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Associate degree in Business or a related field preferred 4 years of directly related logistics experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). Experience with transportation, shipping, logistics, import/export, or supply chain operations. Working knowledge of freight documentation, transportation methods, and shipping regulations. Familiarity with import/export compliance, including Harmonized System (HS) classifications and
NAFTA/USMCA
concepts preferred. Experience with SAP or other ERP systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint. Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. Effective problem-solving and analytical abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
