Responsibilities Develop and execute detailed load plans using transportation management systems to maximize freight efficiency and reduce costs. Coordinate with carriers, warehouse teams, and dispatchers via multi-line phone systems and other communication tools to schedule pickups, deliveries, and route adjustments. Monitor shipment progress through GPS, proactively resolving any delays or issues to maintain delivery schedules. Manage shipping & receiving documentation accurately, ensuring compliance with company policies and customer requirements. Oversee freight allocation, vehicle dispatching, and fleet management activities to optimize transportation resources. Conduct data entry related to shipments, inventory levels, and transportation metrics to support analysis and reporting efforts. Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners via phone calls and emails, maintaining professional phone etiquette and clear communication standards. Requirements Proven experience in logistics, transportation planning, or supply chain management with familiarity in transportation management systems. Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret GPS tracking information and other logistical data sources for decision-making. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry, shipping & receiving documentation, and freight scheduling. Proficiency in using software platforms. Effective communication skills for dispatching, phone call management, email communication and collaboration across multiple teams. Knowledge of fleet management practices, and shipping & receiving procedures. Ability to manage multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining high standards of phone etiquette.
