Job Description

Overview We are seeking a Logistics Specialist for assignment in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. The selected candidate will work closely with project staff to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including inventory management, procurement and overall warehouse functionality. Hours are Monday
  • Friday, 7:00am
  • 3:30pm
  • This position has a pay rate of $20.68/hr
  • Responsibilities
  • Identify operational deficiencies within the warehouse and recommend process improvements related to inventory.
  • Coordinate and optimize the movement, storage and distribution of materials, equipment, and supplies across multiple departments
  • Communicate with supply vendor contracts, obtaining price quotes, and terms with vendors and suppliers (In moderation)
  • Prepare and maintain logistics documentation such as shipping records, purchase orders and inventory reports
  • Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet operational demands
  • Assist with conducting regular audits and reconcile inventory records with physical counts
  • Ensure proper handling, labeling and storage of goods to maintain quality and safety standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe warehouse environment in compliance with OSHA standards
  • Assist with conducting ongoing safety programs (i.e., Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Prepare necessary shift and log reports; maintain complete recordkeeping procedures
  • Work with the other department managers, supervisors, and lead personnel for replacement parts, equipment, chemicals and other third-party services needed for operations
  • Use CMMS for scheduling, assigning, calculating and reviewing completed work orders to ensure accurate information is included and closing out work orders in a timely manner; Utilize inventory CMMS for accurate tracking and reporting
  • Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A valid Drivers License
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory systems and warehouse operations
