Supply Chain Technician 1 Renown Health United States, Nevada, Reno 1155 Mill Street (Show on map) Aug 25, 2026 Position Purpose This position manages the supply of goods. They oversee the overall management of supply inventory, which includes processing the receiving and storing of goods. They also maintain records of goods distribution. Monitors the adequacy of inventories for distribution and operations from primary distribution partners. May participate in any of the following: support customer service tasks to research delivery resolution, coordinate inspection with clinical engineering, receipt asset tagging, physical distribution of inventory/USPS mail byway of courier fleet, PAR ordering and put away for acute service lines, analyzing PAR levels and modifying as necessary, tissue handling and storage. Individuals may manage special projects as assigned by leadership and help implement process changes and support standard work development. May coordinate deliveries to offsite locations and work with Project Management teams and vendor representatives in scheduling delivery and assembly of equipment. Nature and Scope This position is responsible for the receipt and distribution of consumable products in acute service lines. Responsibilities may include any of the following tasks:
  • Communicates receipt of capital items and asset tagging
  • Ensures incoming items are not lost or improperly managed and that all documentation is accurate and properly filed for future audit trail reference via use of handheld track pads or other related documentation
  • Ensures that supporting logistic equipment is properly charged, in functional working order, and when appropriate, updates the related software to ensure it is operating at current levels
  • Packages and ships returned or repaired items making sure items are properly packaged, insured, and shipped in accordance with department to receiving shipping form
  • May work closely with the Interiors department to organize equipment deliveries
  • Works closely with purchasing in identifying items that are received when there is limited or no information provided
  • Monitors proper levels of supplies needed in acute service areas
  • Provides any special equipment on demand for patient comfort
  • Reconciliation of all charges from Central Supply to all user stations
  • Maintains accurate quality assurance retrieval programs
  • Determines adequate levels of reserve supplies for routine use and emergency situations.
  • Performs accurate picking, labeling, shelving, and rotation/ monthly expired reviews of all patient supplies on nursing carts and in Central Supply
  • Assembles O.R. case carts
  • May manage electronic files in which to produce necessary printed materials which will also include operation of digital, reprographic, and related equipment for material publishing
  • May deliver mail or supplies to appropriate offsite locations taking appropriate documentation of receipt and proper documentation of any deliveries, returns, and outgoing shipments.
If this task is assigned, licensure including Valid State of Nevada or California driver's license and ability to pass Renown Health's Department of Motor Vehicle Report criteria is required. Decisions this position must refer to the Lead and or Supervisor include, ordering of supplies, deviations from normal patient charging policy, deviations from established departmental policies and the return of items to the Distribution Center. This position does not maintain location sheets of liability asset locations, nor conducts periodic cycle counts of procedural inventory for surgeries. Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
Experience:
6 months warehouse experience required. Preferable stocking experience in a hospital materials management setting. License(s): None Certification(s): None Computer /
