Position:
Logistics Technician III
Location:
Fairport, NY 14450 (Onsite)
Duration:
6 month anticipated assignment. Possibility of extension based on demand.

9 am•7:30 pm
ITAR/DOD
Compliant Required•Candidates must be compliant with ITAR requirements and be US citizens or nationals.
Description:
Responsible for assisting in the completion of production administrative work, building sanitation, and logistics tasks. Applies training and skills to perform various tasks that support production. Trains others in operations, techniques, and skills.
Responsibilities:
Performs operations in compliance with work instructions. Completes production logistics by moving and transacting information through production systems. Performs building sanitation tasks and maintains a clean work environment. Prepares material for operations and/or logistical tasks. Interfaces with plant systems (e.g., document control, manufacturing execution system). Communicates effectively and updates/maintains records as needed. Trains others in responsibilities. Performs van runs between Fairport buildings (Building 57 & Building 430) to support operational needs. Performs any other Production Support I responsibilities. Utilizes Vertical Lift Module (VLM) and mobile racking for picking.
Requirements:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Work Experience:
1-2+ years' work experience No manufacturing experience required, though applicable experience in a transferable field desired (examples include shipping & warehouse experience) Experience with SAP is desired, but not required
Other:
Operate manual pallet jacks as needed to move materials safely and efficiently. Carts are used for movement of materials through the warehouse as well. •Driver's license required•A van runs between Fairport buildings (Building 57 & Building 430) throughout the day to bring parts and materials back and forth. Depending on the need, there can be 1-4 runs during a shift, sometimes more if extra busy.
Working Conditions:
Good working conditions. Frequently lifts or moves materials up to 5 pounds. Occasionally lifts or moves materials up to 15 pounds. Rarely lifts or moves materials more than 25 pounds. Minimal exposure to disagreeable elements.
