Distribution Associate ( QIC•Quality Inventory Control )
Location:
Rochester, NY Summary:
Nesco Resource is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Distribution Associate•QIC to join a leading distribution and warehouse operation in Rochester, NY. This temp-to-perm opportunity offers candidates the chance to demonstrate their skills and transition into a permanent position based on performance and business needs. The Distribution Associate will play a key role in inventory control, product replenishment, cycle counting, and warehouse organization while ensuring inventory accuracy and compliance with FIFO requirements. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, are comfortable using RF scanners and warehouse management systems, and take pride in maintaining accurate inventory records.
Pay Rate:
$18.00/Hour 10% Shift Differential for 2nd Shift 15% Shift Differential for 3rd Shift Shift(s): 1st

6:00 AM•2:00 PM | Monday•Friday 2nd
Shift:
2:00 PM•10:00 PM | Monday•Friday 3rd
Shift:
10:00 PM•6:00 AM | Sunday•
Thursday Job Duties:
Perform inventory searches using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanning equipment Organize and maintain picking locations to ensure inventory availability and FIFO compliance Complete product restocking and put-away activities accurately and efficiently Retrieve products to resolve customer order shortages Sort and stage products for proper put-away and storage Conduct product location checks to maintain inventory accuracy Participate in monthly cycle counts and assist with physical inventory activities Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements Report safety concerns, sanitation issues, equipment malfunctions, and quality concerns to leadership immediately Maintain attendance standards, including working scheduled holidays and overtime when required Support warehouse operations and perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required Previous warehouse, distribution, or receiving experience preferred Basic math skills required for inventory and cycle counting activities Basic computer proficiency required Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred Forklift and/or man-up equipment experience preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety procedures Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift Frequent walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and pushing/pulling activities Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly throughout the workday Occasional stair climbing and overhead reaching Ability to safely operate man-up equipment as required Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and dust exposure Ability to work safely around moving mechanical equipment while following all PPE requirements Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
