Job Description

Summary:
DMAX Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Motors that produces the Duramax 6.6L V-8 turbo-diesel engine for Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD pickup trucks. DMAX combines deep diesel expertise with advanced manufacturing capabilities to meet the demands of our heavy-duty truck customers. This role will be onsite supporting our facilities in Moraine, OH and/or Brookville, OH.
Role Overview:
As a Production Planner We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Production Planner to create, modify, and manage production schedules. You will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels, providing status updates to management, and ensuring timely delivery of products to customers. The ideal candidate will analyze customer orders, calculate resource requirements, and collaborate with their peers in the Supply Chain organization as well as with other departments to optimize production flow.
Job Responsibilities:

Production Scheduling:
Develop, maintain, and optimize detailed production schedules to meet customer demand and minimize delays. o
Inventory & Material Management:
Monitor inventory levels, manage stock, and ensure necessary materials are available for production. o
SAP Operation:
Utilize SAP to enter data, track orders, and ensure system integrity. o
Collaboration:
Coordinate with supply chain peers, plant floor, and plant leadership.

Supply Chain Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve office / operations functions and efficiencies. Lead project management from inception to completion, drive higher performances for plant SPQRC metrics. o
Material Flow Analysis and Management:
Support material flow for the plant, LOC, 3rd party vendor. Focus on process adherence and continuous improvement, as needed. Your Skills & Abilities (2 + years' experience in production planning/bachelor's degree preferred) o Proficiency in ERP/MRP software and MS Office (especially Excel). o Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. o Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. o Ability to work evenings or weekends if needed. o Experience in high volume manufacturing. o Experience managing 3rd party suppliers, material flow o Proven results in leading continuous improvement projects
