Temp-to-Hire Job Order #: 126098 Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Shipping Lead / Shipping & Logistics Coordinator to oversee outbound shipping operations for a busy manufacturing facility in Tulsa. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for coordinating transportation providers, scheduling outbound shipments, preparing shipping documentation, and safely loading large equipment onto flatbed trailers. The ideal candidate has experience in industrial shipping and logistics, excels at organization and communication, and is committed to maintaining accurate documentation while ensuring shipments are delivered safely and on schedule. Required Experience & Skills Previous experience in shipping, logistics, transportation coordination, or warehouse operations Experience scheduling and coordinating trucking carriers, particularly flatbed transportation Proficiency using customer logistics portals and transportation management systems (TMS) Experience preparing Bills of Lading (BOLs), shipping records, and freight documentation Ability to safely load large equipment onto flatbed trailers Forklift certification or previous forklift experience preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Essential Duties & Responsibilities Coordinate daily outbound shipments and schedule transportation with trucking companies Arrange flatbed and specialized freight carriers to meet customer delivery requirements Enter shipment details, tracking information, and documentation into customer logistics portals Prepare and maintain Bills of Lading (BOLs), shipping records, and freight documentation Communicate with customers, carriers, and internal departments regarding shipment schedules and status updates Load large equipment onto flatbed trailers using appropriate material handling equipment Verify shipment accuracy and ensure loads are properly secured according to company and safety standards Track shipments and resolve transportation or delivery issues as needed Maintain accurate shipping records and inventory documentation Follow all company safety policies, DOT requirements, and shipping regulations Preferred Qualifications Manufacturing, industrial, heavy equipment, or construction equipment shipping experience Experience handling oversized or specialized freight Knowledge of DOT transportation regulations and shipping best practices Leadership or shipping coordination experience in a production environment Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and climbing throughout the shift Ability to safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors around shipping and loading operations Work Environment Industrial manufacturing and shipping facility Fast-paced environment coordinating multiple outbound shipments daily Regular operation around forklifts, flatbed trailers, heavy equipment, and loading areas Safety-focused workplace requiring PPE and compliance with company safety procedures Why You'll Want This Opportunity Competitive starting pay of $25.00/hour with opportunities for advancement Stable Monday-Friday first-shift schedule Long-term temp-to-hire opportunity Opportunity to lead shipping and logistics operations in a growing manufacturing environment Team-oriented workplace focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence Ready to Apply?
