Transportation Logistics Specialist

Job Requirements This Transportation Logistics Specialist role in the Centralized Transportation Planning (CTP) department is essential for ensuring seamless operational functions. This position focuses on critical tasks such as appointment scheduling, order entry, tracking and tracing shipments and maintaining clear communication with carrier partners and customers. This role is service driven and customer focused.

WHAT YOU DO

Support all operational needs within the CTP Department Provide timely and accurate updates to both internal and external customers and partners Monitor freight activities including pickups, deliveries, and shipments in transit Verify pickup and delivery details using Sunrise Logistics Inc. (SLI) TMS Utilize SLI technology to help enhance customer and carrier experience Other Duties as assigned by management

WHAT YOU BRING

Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalency required Experience within the transportation industry preferred A detail oriented, self-started with a desire for growth and excellent customer service Proven experience in effective planning and problem solving Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and have high attention-to-detail Procedural mindset with ability to prioritize and efficiently manage high e-mail and call volume Ability to communicate effectively with customers via email and phone Ability to perform, collaborate, and effectively work with others in a team-based environment Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software (ERP) is preferred
