Description The Logistics Coordinator will oversee inventory management and logistics functions for Outgoing Shipments.
Position Responsibilities:
- Schedules shipments to ensure delivery in accordance with contractual delivery schedules and requirements.
- Receives orders and assigns shipments to appropriate Packaging and Shipping personnel.
- Departmental liaison to the Quality and Contracts Departments.
- Monitors inventory via an enterprise resource planning system or similar control system.
- Assists stakeholders with order status inquiries and special customer needs.
- Creates Packaging/Shipment Packets for all outgoing production material.
- Responsible for resolution of all outgoing delivery issues.
- Analyzes inventory and end of line procedures; recommends updates and improvements to the Packaging Supervisor.
- Reviews Contract documents for Shipping Requirements and communicates necessary changes to Packaging Team.
- Accesses Customer Portals to fulfil contractual Shipping requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of the organization.
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to analyze contracts for customer (prime) and DoD logistics to ensure delivery compliance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of export regulations and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with computerized distribution systems.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in a Packaging/Shipping operation of Defense deliverables required.
- 5+ years of experience with Defense Contract, FAR and DFARS review and compliance required.
Work Environment:
Production Environment:
Requires physical capability to work in a production environment up to 9 hours a day including; sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities including; close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.- Hours 6:00 - 3:30, Monday through Thursday; every other Friday 6:00-2:30; occasional additional hours as needed.
