Job Description

Barnhart Logistics looking for an entry-level Logistics Specialist to join the team! Once trained
  • hours will be Wednesday-Friday 10:30 AM
  • 7:30 PM & Saturday/Sunday 8:00 AM
  • 5:00 PM Responsibilities as a Logistics Specialist
  • Level 1: Secure freight of all kinds and all equipment types for direct customers Build and maintain customer and carrier business relationships to improve transportation efficiencies for them Quote, bid, and negotiate rates with customers and freight carriers Schedule and track shipments from start to finish and report back to the customer Contribute to and be involved in team and individual goals Data entry and basic math Some after hours/weekend work Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
Prior experience in Logistics/Supply Chain not preferred Prior experience in the transportation industry preferred but not required Prior experience in a fast-paced office environment preferred High School Diploma or equivalent Strong customer service and follow-through Strong communication, negotiating General computer knowledge a must Attention to detail and multi-tasking a must Works well in a team environment
