Job Description

Job Summary:
The Associate Designer/Designer supports natural gas pipeline projects by producing accurate, high-quality design drawings and documentation. This role requires strong AutoCAD skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical data, site plans, and permit requirements. Candidates should be self-motivated, collaborative, and eager to grow their technical expertise in a remote work environment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Associate Designer:
Complete small-diameter designs with minimal oversight Interpret land and environmental investigation data Clean up and integrate survey and third-party CAD files Read and analyze site plans for design accuracy Interpret locate data and adjust gas main locations accordingly Create and manage sheet sets using Sheet Set Manager Develop preliminary line-of-lay alignments Perform baseline design drafting reviews for simple, non-main installation projects Generate elevation views and simple cross-sections Draft moderately complex site plans Interpret soil bore logs and geotechnical reports Demonstrate advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Apply knowledge of pipeline stationing
Designer:
Demonstrate mastery of the Duties and Responsibilities of the Associate Designer Understand industrial meter set design principles Create plan and profile views for pipeline and facility layouts Conduct baseline reviews of permit drawings for accuracy and compliance Organize and manage existing and proposed cross-reference (x-ref) drawings Develop detailed cross-sections and profiles for construction documentation Demonstrate advanced knowledge of permit drawing requirements Apply working knowledge of tie-in fittings and installation methods Draft complete Public Improvement Plan sets from baseline through design
Required Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Drafting certification or equivalent work experience Prior design experience in the natural gas industry.

Work independently and effectively in a fully remote environment Train and mentor less experienced drafters Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders Accept and apply constructive feedback Exhibit a strong work ethic and commitment to quality Respond positively to guidance and continuously seek improvement Demonstrate curiosity and a willingness to learn Recognize safety concerns and adhere to required PPE standards Demonstrate Company's Core Values in all work activities Complete assignments on time and within allocated hours Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
