Christin Marie Studio is a fast-growing e-commerce brand specializing in artisan-driven, luxurious yet affordable jewelry. As part of our expansion, we are seeking a Fractional Supply Chain Lead to manage our procurement and inventory processes. This role is crucial in ensuring that our business operates efficiently, delivering the right products to meet our real-time demand while optimizing inventory management.
Role Overview:
The Fractional Supply Chain Lead will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, managing day-to-day procurement needs, and coordinating logistics with suppliers and warehouses. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, has experience forecasting, is proficient with Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems, and has a proven ability to balance product availability with cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management Maintain accurate SKU records across all e-commerce platforms. Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts and excess holding. Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy in stock reporting. Track sales patterns and build/maintain demand forecasting models. Procurement & Supply Coordination Place purchase orders with domestic and international suppliers based on forecast and sales data. Monitor supplier lead times to ensure on-time deliveries. Be willing to negotiate and maintain strong communication with manufacturers in Asia and local distributors in Los Angeles. Support cost-control efforts by comparing supplier terms and negotiating when needed. Logistics Management Coordinate inbound shipments and manage customs documentation when required. Partner with the fulfillment team to ensure smooth order processing. Resolve supply chain issues or delays to minimize customer impact. Process & Performance Support Track and report on supply chain KPIs such as inventory turnover, stock discrepancies, and fulfillment accuracy. Identify opportunities for improving efficiency in procurement and logistics workflows. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, customer service, and marketing) to align supply chain operations with business goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
At least 5 years of experience in supply chain, inventory management, or procurement, ideally in e-commerce or consumer goods required, 7+ years of experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Operations, or a related discipline required, MBA preferred. Strong working knowledge of Excel, inventory management systems and ERP tools. Familiarity with supplier coordination, both domestic and international. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple moving parts simultaneously. Ability to switch tasks quickly without compromising quality, within a Start-Up environment. Proactive and analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities. Experience with logistics, shipping, and fulfillment operations is a plus. Comfortable working with confidential information and signing NDAs.
