This role will lead the configuration, implementation, and optimization of IBM Maximo and MAS (Maximo Application Suite) for clients managing complex transportation asset portfolios — including fleets, rail infrastructure, transit systems, and related facilities. - Client Site Visits Key Responsibilities Maximo Implementation & Configuration ▸ Lead functional analysis, gap assessments, and requirements gathering for transportation clients ▸ Configure IBM Maximo / MAS modules including Work Management, Asset Management, Inventory, Procurement, Scheduler, and Condition Monitoring ▸ Design and implement PM (Preventive Maintenance) plans and inspection routes for fleet and rail assets ▸ Configure Transportation-specific modules including fleet management, route scheduling, and GIS integrations ▸ Support Maximo MAS 8.
x upgrades and migrations from legacy Maximo 7.6.x environments Business Process & Workflow Design ▸ Map and document AS-IS and TO-BE business processes for asset lifecycle, maintenance workflows, and compliance tracking ▸ Design and configure workflow automation for work orders, approvals, inspections, and regulatory reporting ▸ Develop functional specifications for integrations with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), GIS platforms, and IoT/telematics data feeds ▸ Establish KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks using Maximo Analytics and IBM Cognos Transportation Domain Expertise ▸ Apply deep knowledge of DOT, FTA, FRA, or FMCSA regulatory compliance requirements within Maximo ▸ Configure asset hierarchies for transportation fleets (trucks, buses, rail cars), infrastructure (tracks, bridges, signals), and facilities ▸ Support implementation of condition-based maintenance (CBM) and predictive maintenance using MAS Monitor / Health ▸ Integrate telematics and GPS/AVL data streams with Maximo asset records and work orders Client Engagement & Delivery ▸ Serve as primary functional point of contact for transportation clients throughout the project lifecycle ▸ Facilitate workshops, UAT sessions, and end-user training programs ▸ Develop functional test scripts, training materials, SOPs, and configuration documentation ▸ Collaborate with technical consultants on customizations, integration development, and data migration strategies ▸ Provide post-go-live hypercare support and ongoing optimization recommendations AIOps & MAS Enablement ▸ Leverage IBM MAS Manage, Monitor, Health, and Predict capabilities to deliver intelligent asset lifecycle insights ▸ Support clients in adopting AIOps-driven maintenance strategies to reduce unplanned downtime and total cost of ownership ▸ Participate in Z-Cloud managed services engagements, supporting clients on ZPro's hybrid multi-cloud platform Required Qualifications Education & Certification ▸ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Transportation Management, or a related field ▸ IBM Certified Deployment Professional
