Job Description
Our client is seeking a qualified, full-time Logistics Coordinator to join their team. This is a hybrid position (remote/in-office) based in Coralville, IA. This role is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and resolving operational issues within the logistics process with a strong customer-focused approach. The Logistics Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring smooth shipment execution, minimizing delays, and improving internal workflows. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position also serves as a liaison between the company and clients, providing timely and professional communication to resolve issues and improve customer satisfaction. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Qualifications Experience in international logistics or freight forwarding Knowledge of Incoterms, customs processes, or shipping documentation 3+ years of international logistics experience Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) such as CargoWise Job Duties & Responsibilities Documentation Understand Transportation Management System (TMS) requirements and import/export documentation needs Rates Provide rate proposals to customers and agents Collect vendor quotes and prepare pricing according to established guidelines Sales Support Assist the Company President with sales follow-up and rate/information requests Set up new customers in the Transportation Management System (CargoWise) Client Support & Operations Communicate shipment updates to clients, vendors, and agents Monitor shipments and ensure timely execution Coordinate with internal teams and external partners Analyze root causes of delays or operational issues Provide high-quality customer service and support Offer feedback to management regarding operational improvements Compensation Pay is based on experience.
