In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive logistics plans that optimize warehouse distribution, transportation management, and inventory control. Your expertise will drive process improvements, enhance procurement strategies, and ensure seamless order fulfillment across multiple channels. Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic logistics plans that align with overall supply chain objectives, including demand planning, transportation planning, and inventory management. Utilize advanced data analysis skills, including SQL and Excel data analysis, to collect, interpret, and report on key logistics metrics. Manage warehouse distribution activities such as shipping & receiving, materials handling, stocking, and warehouse management system (WMS) operations to ensure optimal inventory levels. Coordinate procurement activities by sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and overseeing freight and 3PL (third-party logistics) providers. Conduct root cause analysis to identify inefficiencies or disruptions in supply chain processes and implement continuous process improvements using tools like Tableau and ERP systems such as AS400 or SAP. Oversee transportation management systems (TMS) for freight routing, dispatching, NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) operations, and international trade compliance to ensure timely delivery. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on category management initiatives, pricing strategies, and demand forecasting to optimize costs and service levels across all channels. Qualifications Proven experience practicing in a supply chain operations role with a strong understanding of logistics processes including shipping logistics, inventory control, and materials management. Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), ERP platforms like AS400 or SAP, and data analysis tools such as Tableau or SQL. Solid knowledge of supply chain analytics, procurement practices, trade compliance regulations, and international trade procedures. Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and lead process improvement initiatives within a logistics environment. Mechanical knowledge or experience with manual handling equipment such as forklifts is preferred. Excellent analysis skills with the ability to collect data accurately and translate insights into actionable strategies for demand planning or sourcing. Strong negotiation skills coupled with vendor management experience to secure favorable contracts while maintaining high service standards.
