This hybrid role combines supply chain planning with procurement responsibilities to ensure efficient material flow and optimal inventory levels. The ideal candidate will be responsible for forecasting demand, managing inventory, sourcing components, and maintaining supplier relationships to support our production schedules and business objectives. Key Responsibilities Planning Functions (60%) Develop and maintain production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels Analyze demand patterns and create accurate material requirement plans (MRP) Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts while minimizing excess inventory Coordinate with production, engineering, and sales teams to align planning activities with business needs Generate regular reports on planning metrics, inventory turns, and forecast accuracy Purchasing Functions (40%) Source and procure electronic components, raw materials, and finished goods according to company requirements Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost savings and ensure timely delivery Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost, and delivery performance Manage supplier relationships and resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing Process purchase orders, track shipments, and ensure on-time delivery of materials Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality standards Cross-functional Responsibilities Collaborate with engineering team on new product introduction and component selection Work with quality department to resolve supplier quality issues Support continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain processes Maintain accurate documentation and records related to planning and purchasing activities
