Job Description

The Planner role is responsible for executing supply plans and production schedules under guidance from the Materials Manager and Global Supply Planning team. This position focuses on following established processes, supporting daily production execution and expanding working knowledge of Zeus planning systems. Planning & Execution Executes supply plans in alignment with established operating plans and instructions. Follows supply chain business rules and planning guidelines. Supports Global Supply Planning in maintaining safety stock levels for finished goods and raw materials.
Schedules production jobs to support:
o On-time delivery o Efficient use of capacity and labor Assists in the creation and maintenance of plant production schedules by: o Following Zeus planning standards o Coordinating with production teams to execute approved schedules Expands working knowledge of Zeus manufacturing and supply chain policies and procedures. Monitoring & Issue Escalation Monitors jobs to ensure they are progressing on schedule and escalate issues as needed. Addresses routine disruptions following standard work and guidance. Processes Order Actions accurately, documenting reasons for schedule changes or expediting constraints. Tracks customer-supplied products and schedule adherence metrics. Supports forecasting of late orders and execution of mitigation plans. Supports root cause analysis of schedule adherence issues and implements corrective actions, as directed. Process & Documentation Ensures compliance with the standard lifecycle of production jobs. Maintains accurate documentation including job packets and BBP update files. Identifies potential risks or errors and escalates concerns appropriately. Spends time on the shop floor supporting Materials and Production teams with day-to-day execution. Performs periodic cycle counting. Completes additional duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field, preferred, or equivalent experience in manufacturing/supply chain. Strong organizational skills and attention-to-detail. Ability to follow processes and execute standard work consistently. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Working knowledge with ERP/MRP systems (Oracle preferred).
APICS-CPIM
