Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for a Materials Technician to plan and coordinate material replenishment to support the manufacturing of industrial or commercial products by performing the following duties. Pay $20 an hour 1st Shift Mon.-Thur. 4:30-3:00P Location:
Plant 6, FayettevilleTHE DAY TO DAY
… Plans and coordinates the flow of purchased components to support all processes according to established manufacturing plans and lead times Trains, coaches and coordinates the activities of material handlers and parts pickers within their assigned areas. Improves and ensures compliance with established standard work Proactively contacts suppliers in order to expedite and de-expedite in coordination with Material Leader Launches purchase orders to obtain material Involves supply management team to obtain action, when necessary Manage the process in place to issue signals to suppliers to deliver material to assigned assembly / manufacturing areas (electronic kanban, kanban cards, labels, etc) Respond to failed purchase orders to resolve supplier delivery issues, respective to area Order materials and supplies as needed Coordinates problem solving activities and implements corrective actions for the root causes of all material related production interruptions Responsible for the 6S activities and production control board maintenance, in coordination with the Material Leader Maintains the Manufacturing Order (MO) system and/or purchase orders, respective to area Coordinates the disposition of all material rejects, respective to area Maintains pull systems for assigned areas of responsibility Monitors deliveries for timeliness and problem-solves late deliveries with the supplier Communicates all concerns that may cause delays in production with material leaders, participating in development of alternate plans Develops, improves, and maintains visual inventory management (kanban cards, dedicated baskets, supermarket signs, labels, etc) Controls the creation of serial numbers for finished goodsTHE QUALIFICATIONS
… Minimum of one-year related experience and/or training Forklift and high lift certification preferred Associate's Degree a plus Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
