Job Description
General Description/ Objective Support successful logistics operations through movement, loading, unloading, and delivery of product and materials using a wide variety of material handling equipment at highly proficient level (examples: forklift, reach stacker operations, sky track operations, pallet jack, Switcher). Operate various support systems and equipment to document logistics activity (examples: Inventory management system(s), labeling systems,). Operate simple machinery to support product movement activities (examples: palletizer, pallet wrapper, dock equipment). Relieve operators in variety of positions to support uninterrupted plant/logistics operations. Roles and Tasks Creates and coordinate deliveries of shipments in transportation with carriers. Provides and maintain effective customer service while monitoring their corresponding loads Possess understanding of managing shipment and transportation Researches and manage status of all open loads Utilizes and update company logistics systems daily Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested for the smooth and efficient operation of the warehouse. Profile/ Professional Competencies/ Job Requirements Education Requirements High School Diploma or GED, preferable . Minimum started High school Any other Tertiary education, a plus. Specific Knowledge Demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills Self-starter with an ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail with proficient planning with work schedules Positive attitude with good relationships involving clients, carriers, and coworkers Rudimentary mechanical skills. Thorough understanding of elements contributing to logistics productivity. Languages Fluent English IT/ Technical Knowledge Basic Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel WMS (SAP) Minimum Experience Required 6 months to 1 year Internal Candidates and/or Employees from other GRI factories, are considered competent for this job if they have at least 2 years of experience on similar processes/role.
