Job Description

As a leader in the intermodal transportation industry, WWinners Container Services is dedicated to customer satisfaction. With our quality process, we continue to develop and maintain open communication with our customers and employees. We are hiring a Guard to work in our Laredo, Texas operation. The Guard is responsible for managing the interchange of equipment between different parties, such as carriers, shippers, and consignees. This role involves tracking and documenting the movement of equipment, ensuring inventory accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This position will work 4pm to 12am after the initial training which will be given during day shift hours, Monday - Friday, for the first week or so. Upon completion of training, the new Guard will move to their night shift.
Requirements Documentation and Record-Keeping:
Prepare and process interchange documentation accurately and efficiently. Maintain records of equipment movement, including incoming and outgoing equipment. Ensure all documentation complies with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Communication:
Coordinate with carriers, shippers, consignees, and other stakeholders to facilitate the interchange process. Provide clear and accurate information to all parties involved. Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to equipment interchange.
Equipment Tracking:
Conduct regular audits to ensure the accuracy of inventories of all customer equipment.
Compliance:
Ensure adherence to all relevant safety regulations and company policies. Stay updated on industry standards and regulatory changes affecting equipment interchange.
Customer Service:
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders. Handle inquiries and requests promptly and professionally.
Reporting:
Generate reports on equipment movement and interchange activities. Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Qualifications Experience:
Previous experience in transportation, or a similar role preferred. Familiarity with transportation equipment and interchange processes is beneficial. Previous experience with forklift, yard mule, and container lift is helpful, but not required. Training will be provided.
Skills:
Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office and logistics management systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Other Requirements:
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Ability to lift and move equipment or documents as required.
