Job Description
Job Description The Logistics Coordinator II - Mexico Cross Border Bilingual Spanish/English provides the customer service and carrier coordination aspects of business to execute daily operations for customers' both internal and external. This position sources out the partner carrier to be assigned to a designated load. The Logistics Coordinator II - Mexico Cross Border Bilingual Spanish/English uses our transportation management software (TMS) to enter the shipping details, schedule the shipment, and track the shipment beginning to end. This position audits shipments prior to completion for billing accuracy, and maintains constant communication with the Specialist and assigned carriers for total execution of the shipment(s). The Logistics Coordinator II - Mexico Cross Border Bilingual Spanish/English also collaborates with all U.S./Mexico customs brokers, crossing companies, carriers, ArcBest Account Managers and other internal ArcBest departments providing best in class customer service. Responsibilities Understand target pricing based upon various factors, including but not limited to, market conditions, costs, and values. Identify reasons on why business was not secured when quoting. Complete pickup requests and rate corrections. Communicate shipment status to both internal and external customers. Track, trace, and proactively monitor shipments for specific accounts. Understand, create and explain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to both internal and external customers. Other duties and projects, as assigned. Ensure daily live updates of all door to door shipments. Ensure timely and accurate internal and external communication and escalation when necessary. Ask and negotiate for the business when working with customers and providers to win/grow the business. Understand customers' complete supply chain and explain how the organizations capabilities and services can complement their business model. Create BOLs and provide shipment specific documentation. Provide access, assistance, and support concerning the website. Use multiple systems and programs in support of customer needs and expectations. Manage account specific proof of delivery and paperwork requests. Collaborate with Mexican/U.S. Customs Brokers; Border Crossing dryage carriers; Carriers both domestic and Mexican. Maintain knowledge of standard operating procedures as outlined for each account and think outside of the SOP to creatively solve customer challenges and improve customer experience. Serve as a central point of contact for ArcBest's Mexico accounts, carriers, customs brokers and provide up to date tracking, specialized monitoring, reporting, spot pricing, and/or dedicated customer service functions. Determine and assess customer needs to create and deliver a market competitive solution and price through the development of a spot quote.
Requirements Education:
Bachelor's Degree, preferred 2 years' experience in lieu of formal education.Experience:
2 years Cross Border Import/Export experience, requiredComputer Skills:
