Dell USA L.P. seeks a Consultant, Supply Chain to serve as a logistician and provide support to Dells supply chain processes to identify or recommend changes. Assist in monitoring projects across regions as needed to help drive reductions in spending and improve customer experience within the NPI life cycle. Monitor and make recommendations on supply chain activity associated with Dells global New Product Introductions (NPIs) product launches and ensure seed stock accuracy for product launch. Support global New Product Introductions to ensure all serviceable components are forecasted and set up for all commodities which tie to a specific line of business. Help track financial targets and support leadership cross-functionally on global strategies and forums. Provide updates in weekly interlocks with cross functional teams, and report on service readiness for the platforms they are managing. Help resolve and communicate back upstream on discrepancies found within the platform hierarchy being released.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in supply chain management, industrial engineering, systems engineering or related occupation OR Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field of study plus seven (7) years of experience in supply chain management, industrial engineering, systems engineering or related occupation. Skills may be gained concurrently through graduate-level coursework, research or teaching experience.
Experience must include:
Supply Chain Business Process Applying knowledge of regional nuances and market trends from historical data analysis Working with vendors and supply chain professionals Designing forecast models Material Requirement Planning (MRP) Analysis Sales and Operations planning Inventory Optimization Data analysis and visualization tools Spreadsheet modeling Data extraction with SQL Microsoft Visio
