PLANNING ANALYST I
Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Production Planner to join our Ashland, Inc. business at our Texas City, Texas manufacturing plant. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the manufacturing function. This position will report to the Texas City Plant Manager. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Use Enterprise Resource Planning software to strategically create and manage achievable production schedules for production units to optimize the use of plant equipment while meeting customer requirements Analyze, plan, and manage production scheduling activities to ensure on-time deliverables to customers Run
SAP, MRP
based inventory-planning system to project demand requirements for many raw materials to maintain targeted inventory levels Analyze and procure packaging to support several production units and many different packages combinations Work with Operations and Quality departments to investigate quality complaints and implement corrective actions Support implementation of programs and procedures to optimize production and continually improve processes Participate in Safety, Quality, and Environmental initiatives that will contribute to compliance of State/Federal regulations and improve existing Company programs Actively contribute to the organizational goals by taking initiative, executing on goals and focusing on performance and safety Improve the organization capacity and capabilities through building collaborative relationships, optimizing diverse talent and utilizing positive communications and influence with others Travel Requirement
