We are seeking a full-time Import/Export Logistics Coordinator to join the team at our distribution facility in Winchester, Virginia. Working hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. Job Description The Import/Export Logistics Coordinator is responsible for providing international logistics support to internal and external customers. This position performs complex and confidential administrative duties to ensure assigned company and department operations flow smoothly. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Coordinate domestic and international import and export shipments from origin through final delivery. Prepare and process shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and other required export/import documents. Coordinate customs clearance activities and ensure compliance with CBP and international trade regulations. Prepare, transmit, and monitor INBOND, ISF, and other customs filings for import and export shipments. Book freight with approved carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers while following customer routing requirements. Monitor shipments to ensure timely pickup, transit, delivery, and issue resolution. Communicate shipment status, pre-alerts, delivery updates, and proof of delivery to internal and external stakeholders. Prepare freight quotes and coordinate transportation services for import and export shipments. Manage container movements, including delivery scheduling, empty returns, and inbound shipment tracking. Maintain accurate shipment records and update transportation and ERP systems, including WMS and NetSuite. Identify applicable tariff classifications (HTSUS) and regulatory requirements for imported products. Coordinate freight claims, return shipments, and transportation-related issue resolution. Assist with freight invoice approvals, payment coordination, and documentation required for cargo release. Develop, maintain, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and logistics documentation. Provide administrative support to the Director of International Logistics and assist with special projects and other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required At least one to two years of experience in a shipping/logistics or similar environment Microsoft Office literate and capable of learning other computer skills Ability to operate office equipment, phone system and company software Additional Information The anticipated salary range for this position is $45,000-52,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, as well as the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. In addition to competitive base pay, eligible employees may receive quarterly bonus opportunities based on individual and company performance.
