General Summary:
An Outbound Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for accessing customer portals, printing picklists, coordinating shipments, and ASN's. Accountable for accuracy of all transactions. The ability to display leadership qualities is also an extremely high expectation of this job.Essential Duties:
- Monitor emails on a frequent basis to respond within four hours to a customer and 24 hours to internal personnel.
- On shipping discrepancies, work with shipping to find out the cause and solution for the customer.
- Work with Sales Rep and/or Sales Coordinator on urgent delivery issues or line down situations.
- Create or revise NAFTA forms as needed.
- Schedule trucks via phone, website or email for specific customers
- Work with CS Manager and/or Sales Coordinator to determine responsibility of freight premium on past due shipments
- Container management - monitor inventory, advise production of xxxxx, route defective containers, and handle customer disputes.
- Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude with co-workers, employer, customers, and suppliers.
- All other duties assigned by Manager.
Education/Certification Requirements:
- High School Education/or GED and/or a combination of experience, training, and education.
Experience & Skill Requirements:
- Ability to use basic math functions, i.e. addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
- Simple use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, computer scanning devices.
- Understand the interface between materials management functions and other departments.
- Ability to organize and maintain order.
- Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Excellent communication and customer relations skills
- Display professional conduct
