Who We're Looking For We are seeking a hands-on Receiving and Inspection Technician to support shipping, receiving, incoming hardware inspection, inventory control, and material flow for spacecraft development and manufacturing. This role works directly with engineers, quality, and operations to ensure critical flight hardware and materials are received, inspected, tracked, and handled with rigor and diligence. This is a hardware-forward role and is ideal for someone who wants to be close to parts, hardware, and engineers, not just spreadsheets. Where You'll Make an Impact Manage shipping and receiving activities that directly support spacecraft development and manufacturing Ensure hardware, materials, and components are accurately received, inspected, documented, and routed to the appropriate teams Support engineers, quality, and operations teams in maintaining material readiness for build and test schedules Perform incoming inspections and verify compliance with documentation, specifications, and quality requirements Maintain inventory accuracy and material traceability throughout the hardware lifecycle Coordinate movement of hardware and materials between receiving, stockrooms, manufacturing, and test areas Improve receiving, inspection, inventory, and material handling processes as the company scales What It Takes 1+ years of experience in receiving, inspection, inventory control, manufacturing operations, or supply chain operations Experience working within inventory management, ERP, or material tracking systems Ability to work closely with engineers to ensure materials and hardware are properly received, documented, and available for integration and test activities Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced, hardware-driven environment Clear and professional communication skills with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams Nice-to-Have Experience Experience in aerospace, space, defense, or other complex hardware manufacturing environments Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, or spacecraft components and BOMs Experience supporting R&D, prototype builds, or low-rate production Background working at a startup or small, fast-moving engineering company Experience with material traceability, inventory audits, and quality inspection processes What You'll Get Ownership

Rockville, MD or Hawthorne, CA Base Salary:
$50,000
  • $100,000 The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors.
Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Quantum Space's total compensation package.
