Job Description

The position of a Retail Inventory Analyst is of great significance to Valley Wide Cooperative. A person in this position is responsible for managing all inventories and services at all local level. They are to manage the inventory supply chain including receiving all saleable and non-saleable merchandise into the store, maintaining inventories and assists in coordinating outgoing shipments.
Job Summary:
These are the basic requirements of the position and must be performed competently. Maintains an efficient flow of merchandise. Responsible for scanning and verifying all received product against the packing slip. Responsible for coordinating product flow to the sales floor. Prioritizes Out of Stock merchandise to ensure management and associates are informed upon arrival. Develops and maintains an efficient filing system for all relevant paperwork (Purchase Orders (PO's), transfer documents, cycle counts, etc.). Using proper scan receiving procedures, responsible to ensure all shipments are received, sent, and keyed within 24 hours of receipt including warranty services. All out going product is to be properly documented and labeled according to company standards. Responsible for printing relevant inventory reports to ensure that all inventories are accounted for including outstanding POs, receiving, transfers, and credits. Responsible for returns. Accountable for the input and integrity of appropriate back-end paperwork. Responsible to forward for approval to appropriate manager. Monitors and investigates variances related to receiving documents including purchase Orders (PO), transfers, cycle counts and other inventory measures. Responsible for visually checking and alerting management to any received merchandise that is damaged or missing. Responds to and directs customers as needed. Monitors inventory levels. Conducts physical counts on inventory according to the cycle count schedule. Conducts physical counts based on variance reports, non-count inventory status and negative item reports. Accurately notates inventory counts and variances within the expected timelines. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Cross-trains for other roles within the supply chain. Meets expected KPIs and address inventory and supply chain issues as necessary. Comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies. Perform other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES
High School Diploma, Advanced Education or Certified Training. Previous experience of working in a supply chain team preferably within wholesale and/or retail. Able to add value, reduce costs and input to business improvements. An understanding of agri-business including orchard & vineyard supplies would be advantageous. Must be computer proficient (
Microsoft Office:
Excel and Word and able to learn point-of-sale and inventory systems). Demonstrates strong organizational skills. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Exhibit's ability to use inventory software efficiently. Analytical and multi-tasking abilities. Ability to work independently and in a team environment; self-motivated. Communicates clearly and effectively. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills. Ability to meet deadlines and deliver accurate work. Demonstrates solid problem-solving skills. Product knowledge in categories such as clothing, feed, pet food and supplies, animal health, tack, lawn/garden & gifts are strongly preferred. Proactive critical thinking. Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Must exhibit a professional and positive image.
