- Full-time Position Overview This role focuses on pricing analysis, market intelligence, cost optimization, and carrier sourcing support.
You will analyze transportation costs, carrier performance, market pricing trends, and operational data to support customer pricing decisions, profitability analysis, carrier procurement strategies, and overall fulfillment efficiency. Key Responsibilities 1. Pricing Analysis and Strategy Analyze transportation costs, order volume, routes, service requirements, and carrier pricing data. Support customer pricing, quotation preparation, and pricing strategy development. Evaluate pricing competitiveness while maintaining target profitability levels. Analyze pricing performance and provide recommendations to improve margins and business profitability. Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to develop pricing solutions for new and existing customers 2. Market Intelligence and Carrier Analysis Monitor transportation market trends, carrier capacity, fuel fluctuations, and pricing movements. Track competitor pricing and industry developments to support business decision-making. Analyze carrier performance, cost structures, and service quality. Support carrier sourcing and procurement initiatives through data-driven analysis. 3. Operations Data Analysis Analyze operational data, including fulfillment efficiency, order exceptions, delays, and cost fluctuations. Identify business issues and provide actionable recommendations for improvement. Prepare regular data reports to support operational and management decision-making. 4. Cost and Process Optimization Identify opportunities to optimize transportation costs, carrier utilization, and operational efficiency. Track the implementation and effectiveness of optimization initiatives. Support cross-functional projects aimed at improving fulfillment performance and profitability. Assist in developing data-driven solutions to improve business processes. Qualifications 2-5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, brokerage, trucking, freight forwarding, or related industries. Strong understanding of transportation pricing, cost structures, carrier operations, and market dynamics. Familiarity with North American transportation modes, including FTL, LTL, drayage, parcel, and container transportation. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations. Advanced proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets. Experience with Tableau, Power BI, SQL, or other analytics tools is preferred. Experience supporting pricing, procurement, profitability analysis, cost optimization, or operational improvement initiatives. Strong business acumen with an understanding of margin management and pricing strategy. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
