Job Summary:
The Aircraft Parts Buyer manages the listings of the entire operations inventories as well as reverse consigned inventories. This position is responsible for coordinating with on-site staff of each company warehouse location for the issuance of stock as requested by maintenance, and/or the movement of stock via fastest means to AOG aircraft locations. They are required to process and source all parts requests submitted for the entire fleet.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, Position requires frequent walking, standing and/or climbing.
Responsibilities:
Direct point of contact with repair vendors for ordering components and assist the processing of cores removed from airframes. Processing of all parts/material requests to all vendors. Ensure tracking is provided to MTC and Planning Departments. Responsible for the RO spreadsheet and creation and submission of repair orders to vendors. Coordinates with accounts payable and accounts receivable to assign purchase orders for parts requests. Aids with RO cost assignments to airframes from which cores were removed once they return from repair. Will maintain a database of parts requisition forms as provided by maintenance. Responsible for striving to enhance the component stores distribution/warehousing system to create enhance efficiency as the company grows.
Performance Standards/Measurements:
Become familiar with the Company policies, procedures, duties and responsibilities of the position and all subordinate maintenance staff as set forth in this General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and associated flight operations staff as set forth in the General Operations Manual. Promote Company's value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting Tri States Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy, and behavioral standards. Identify safety concerns, issues, incidents, or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including Tri States confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR)). Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures, and risk controls. Consistently follow Company policies and procedures (including governmental and safety) and departmental Standard Operating Procedures. Always exhibit a professional demeanor. Work effectively with minimal supervision. Proactive and timely in problem-solving. Maintain communication with all involved parties. Maintain accurate and concise records/files. Regular attendance and punctuality. Work flexible hours and be available to respond on short notice. Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance. Requirements
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Strong organizational skill set to maintain strict control over company owned and vendor owned inventory in various warehouses. Strong background in logistics and networking with courier services and shipping Fed Ex Hazmat qualified for shipping dangerous goods a plus. Strong Microsoft Office skills, primarily Excel for the management of inventory required. Ability to communicate effectively, in both oral and written communication. Must have a valid Drivers License and be insurable. Willing and able to fly to different cities.
Language Skills:
The employee must possess good interpersonal and communications skills, be able to effectively work with others, and respond to questions from managers and co-workers. Physical Activities and Requirements of the

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
