Connect with a career that matters, and help us build a safer future. Department OverviewWe are seeking a driven, analytical Supply Planning Intern to join our team for the summer. In this role, you will work directly with our Supply Planners and Finance partners to optimize accounts payable (AP) workflows, enhance supplier visibility, and build core operational dashboards. This is a hands-on opportunity to solve real supply chain challenges and leave behind lasting process improvements.

Job Description Key Responsibilities AP Hold Prevention & Audit:

Analyze historical Accounts Payable hold data to identify root causes (such as price discrepancies, unit-of-measure errors, or receiving delays) and design a proactive audit checklist to resolve invoice mismatches before they hit system holds.

Supplier Promise Date Tracking:

Map current vendor communication channels (EDI, supplier portals, manual updates) to identify gaps and establish a standardized process that improves real-time promise date visibility across open purchase orders.

Master & Open Order Data Health:

Audit and clean up aging data elements in the ERP system-including legacy open purchase orders, outdated lead times, inactive part status, and unfulfilled line items-to remove system noise and significantly improve MRP accuracy.

Process Documentation:

Create clear standard operating procedures (SOPs) for newly established tracking methods and validation workflows to ensure smooth handoff to the team.

Additional Qualified Skills:
Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, core functions) is required. Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) or BI reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a strong plus.

Analytical Mindset:

Comfortable working with large datasets, identifying patterns, and distilling complex data into actionable operational insights.

Communication:

Strong written and verbal communication skills to interface effectively with internal planners, finance teams, and external suppliers.

Basic Requirements Education:
