Snider-Blake is hiring for Inventory Analysts in Des Plaines. Inventory/WMS experience is required.
Shift Opportunities :
1st shift
  • Monday through Friday 6am to 5pm (flexible scheduling). 2nd shift
  • Monday through Friday 2pm to 11pm (flexible scheduling). 3rd shift
  • Monday through Friday 10pm to 7am (flexible scheduling).

Duties Monitor and manage inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or AS400 to ensure optimal stock availability. Conduct data mining and analysis to identify trends, forecast demand, and support demand planning initiatives. Collaborate with procurement teams to develop sourcing strategies, negotiate supplier contracts, and optimize purchasing processes. Perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies or stock shortages to implement corrective actions. Utilize data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau to generate reports on inventory performance, supply chain analytics, and category management insights. Coordinate with logistics providers and 3PL partners to streamline shipping & receiving operations and improve materials handling efficiency. Support process improvement initiatives by analyzing current workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and recommending solutions for enhanced productivity. Assist in warehouse distribution planning, stock rotation strategies, and materials management to reduce waste and increase efficiency. Oversee inventory control procedures including cycle counts, stock audits, and reconciliation activities. Manage the use of forklift equipment safely during heavy lifting tasks within warehouse environments. Experience Proven experience in inventory management within a supply chain or warehouse environment. Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes, procurement practices, and logistics operations. Demonstrated proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, AS400; familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Data analysis skills utilizing tools like SQL, Power BI, Tableau for reporting and decision-making. Knowledge of demand planning methodologies and supply chain analytics techniques. Experience with sourcing negotiations, supplier management, and contract administration. Familiarity with materials handling equipment including forklifts; safety protocols are essential. Ability to perform financial analysis related to pricing strategies and inventory valuation models. Excellent analysis skills with attention to detail; capable of root cause analysis for operational issues. Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration across retail management, e-commerce platforms, and production planning teams.
