Located in one of our Gates locations in the US, the Senior Demand Planning Specialist will oversee the daily operations of the demand planning department team members as they analyze customer and vendor demand to develop and fine-tune forecasts. You'll be adding guidance, experience, and support to the demand planning teamThis is an exciting opportunity for you because you will be a key decision maker and advocate amongst Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Sales and Marketing to build strong working relationships and make a big impact for Gates' customers.

Key responsibilities:
Lead team of demand planning analysts to develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patternsImplement solutions to improve the accuracy of demand forecastingCommunicate forecast estimations to executive leadershipMonitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategiesAddress demand related opportunities in a timely and effective mannerLead monthly demand consensus meeting between Supply Chain, Operations, Sales and Marketing, and FinanceUpdate forecasts for new products, seasonal products, promotions, and end of life productsCoordinate with Supply Chain Managers to monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels, that support superior customer service levelsSupport service level performance tracking for key customers, as identified by sales team Key Performance Metrics for positionDemand forecast accuracyService level: Fill Rate, OTTR, OTTC, past due backlogInventory turns - finished good and raw materialRequirements and Preferred Skills Required:
Minimum of 7+ years of experience in supply chain, customer service, or data analyticsERP system (Oracle, SAP) experienceMust have excellent Excel skillsStrong drive for resultsStrong problem-solving skillsStrong communication skillsAbility to collaborate cross functionalityBachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Manager, or related field or 5+ years of applicable experienceRelocation is not provided for this positionMust be able to travel up to 15% of the timeMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorshipPreferred:
