Job Description

Central Data Management (CDM) Position Overview Join our team as a Central Data Management professional , supporting critical SAP material data and processes. This role plays a key part in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration across multiple business functions. Relationships Reports to the Materials Manager No supervisory responsibility Interacts & communicates with Material, Fin acct, cost acct, purchasing, product managers, warehouse & production personnel at BUS CDM personnel at BAU Responsibilities & Duties Manage new item setups for all BUS material (With a primary focus on Equipment spare parts manufacturing and procurement) Maintain basic data for the Material Master in SAP Maintain all Bills of Materials in SAP Maintain packaging instructions Create new routings Maintain tariff codes Provide Materials Master custom reporting when necessary Expected to work independently as well as in group settings Education HS diploma or GED required 2-year degree in a related field is preferred Equivalent training & experience can be substituted Experience 2 years of related experience in a medium sized industrial manufacturing company preferred 1 year of machining experience Knowledge Product Knowledge, Materials Planning, New Product Introduction, Cost Accounting, Material Lifecycle Customs Classification methodology SAP/ERP systems Weight, monetary & units-of-measure conversions Blueprint Reading and understanding of tolerances Planning and Executing machining production processes General understanding of technical specifications Foundation Skills Effective oral & written communication skills Ability to deal with frequently priorities Ability to develop collaborative relationships with all levels of the organization Foundation Skills (cont.)
