POSITION PURPOSE
The Receiving Specialist receives and stores a wide variety of parts, materials and product into the ERP system (Epicor) and moves the materials through the organization and documents the parts and material movement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Ability to use material moving equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts and dollies to bring products and materials to an appropriate location. Loads and unloads materials in warehouses and storage facilities and from inbound truck trailers. Receives materials into the ERP system and verifies materials against purchase orders to ensure the accuracy of the delivery. Participates in routing, counting and inspecting items while loading and unloading trucks; delivers and returns items. Counts and/or measures parts to check quantity accuracy and contact purchasing when the shipment is inaccurate to rectify the discrepancy. Issues materials to departments in the organization upon request. This involves transacting inventory quantities to the department and delivering the parts to the work area. Monitors inventory and reports quantity discrepancies to supervisor or manager. Utilizes computerized or automated systems to accomplish tasks. Performs cycle counts. Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing internal customer services. This includes internal customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Ability to identify complex problems, review related information, develop and evaluate options, and implement solutions. Ability to determine the kind of tools and/or equipment needed to do a job
QUALIFICATIONS / PRIOR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent 2 or more years of inventory or shipping/receiving experience Basic math, reading and computer skills (excel, word, outlook). Knowledge or experience with an ERP system Must have forklift experience Knowledge of safety practices.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work performed is conducted in a non-climate-controlled facility with moderate noise levels that are within OSHA limits Must be able to lift 25 - 50 lbs. Must be able to walk, talk, sit, stand, and communicate verbally continuously throughout an 8-hour period Ability to work overtime when necessary.
