3 days onsite, 2 days remote) Job Summary As a Materials Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring effective material flow throughout the manufacturing process. You will resolve materials-related issues anywhere in the supply chain, working directly with global suppliers, internal teams, and customers. This position requires strong organizational skills, procurement system experience, and the ability to address challenges proactively to prevent interruptions. Key Responsibilities Resolve materials-related issues during any stage of the manufacturing process with internal/external suppliers and customers; available for calls and meetings as needed (potential 24/7 global support). Coordinate all material deliveries for products; act as the primary point of contact with Cummins suppliers. Understand supplier manufacturing sequences to effectively plan, order, and schedule shipments—negotiating timelines to suit customer demand. Identify and resolve procurement, allocation, transfers, and order issues—verifying and tracking all materials moving in and out of the facility. Utilize and troubleshoot inventory control systems (e.g., Oracle, Ariba, S360); recommend and implement process/system improvements. Track supplier performance and metrics; develop inventory reduction tactics; work with suppliers to improve delivery accuracy, lower lead times, and implement Material Agreements. Research new and revised engineering releases for compatibility; coordinate cross-functionally with purchasing, engineering, and quality teams to implement process changes. Lead and participate in inventory, manufacturing, and improvement meetings; collaborate with financial teams to analyze and report data. Maintain inventory records, coordinate part pulls and shipments, and lead cycle count accuracy initiatives. Provide training as needed and participate in audits and corrective actions. Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in all responsibilities. Perform other duties as required and travel as needed. Required Education & Experience High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree plus two years of relevant experience, or four years of relevant experience. Hands-on experience with procurement/supply chain systems (Oracle, Ariba, S360 preferred). Strong Excel or analytical tool capability. Skills & Attributes Attention to
