Overview (Scope of Role) The Senior Logistics Representative is responsible for managing and optimizing complex logistics operations to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and compliant movement of goods across the supply chain. This role serves as a subject matter expert for logistics processes, transportation execution, and issue resolution, while supporting business continuity and customer satisfaction. The Senior Logistics Representative works closely with internal stakeholders, external carriers, and service providers to coordinate shipments, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement. This is a hybrid position in Midland, MI Responsibilities The position will have responsibilities to include, but not limited to: Manage Transportation Planning & Subcontracting/Freight booking & Freight Execution Process within agreed timelines. Inco Term, add language for understanding market Monitor Freight Settlement process, including Invoice Matching/Dispute Management of freight invoices Keep internal parties informed of delays and act as point of contact for escalation. Monitor key performance indicators (ADD, OTL, OTP, & OTD, QN rates) and identify and lead projects to improve efficiency (Service, Cash & Sustainability) and monitor cost to serve Build strong relationship with Logistic Service Providers to ensure satisfactory & continues improved Service Level Agreements, including facilitation of regular Carrier Performance Management reviews.
Qualifications Education & Experience:
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in a business, logistics, Supply Chain, finance, or technology related field. Individuals with other relevant qualifications and experience will be considered. 8 - 10+ years of experience in a relevant service role (e.g. Procurement, Customer Service, or Supply Chain disciplines) preferred. Work experience in the chemical, safety or transport industries is a plus.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
