The Opportunity

In partnership with the ADF and the Commonwealth, Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) provides aircraft maintenance and upgrades, component maintenance solutions, technical support, mission-critical infrastructure support and training on some of the most capable surveillance, command, control, and combat platforms in the world.

Boeing Defence Australia is looking to resource a Senior Product Support Analyst to support the Wakulda program. Wakulda is a core component of the Royal Australian Air Forces air defence surveillance network operated by the RAAF in Williamtown, New South Wales and Edinburgh, South Australia. Developed and sustained by Boeing Defence Australia, Wakulda is a complex, integrated air defence command and control system which receives, interprets and consolidates data from over 250 defence and civil radars and other sensors.

The Wakulda Senior Product Support Analyst is a member of the Joint Systems Capability. In this role, you will work within the Wakulda Integrated Logistics Support team in the development and maintenance of support system solutions for the Wakulda program, with a specific focus on developing and managing the Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) and Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR).

Key Responsibilities

Logistics Support Analysis (LSA)

Expertise:

Maintain and update the Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR), a comprehensive technical database storing all data collected through Logistic Support Analysis (LSA)

Conduct Candidate Item Identification and Classification

Perform Failure Modes and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)

Execute Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) Analysis and Develop and maintain Level Of Repair Analysis (LORA)

Perform Spares Range and Quantity Analysis and Rationalisation

Analyze and rationalize Support & Test Equipment (S&TE) Range and Quantity

Establish and maintain the LSAR database with accurate and up-to-date information

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Assess impacts of system changes and effort required to update support system artifacts
  • Perform support systems analysis for design changes and upgrades
  • Develop products and services to support the system through-life
  • Work closely with Wakulda engineers and Execution Leads to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks
  • Ensure the LSAR is maintained as the authoritative source for all logistics support information
  • Desirable Experience/Qualifications
To be successful, you will have:

Minimum of 6 -10 years of experience in logistics support, supply chain management, or integrated logistics support (ILS)

Formal qualification or demonstrated experience in delivering successful logistics/support systems analysis

Experience working with Logistics Support Analysis Records (LSAR) and maintaining technical databases

Experience working in a Product Support Analysis environment using industry-recognized tools (e.g., OmegaPS, SLICwave, eLES/eMRD, or similar)

Experience following

MIL-STD-1388, DEF

(AUST) 5691/5692, GEIA-STD-0007C Logistics Product Data

Current or Eligibility for an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Defence Security Clearance
