ORA_ON_SITE Description SAIC is seeking a Logistics Analyst for our Charleston, SC customer site.
The Logistics Analyst will:
Oversee the receipt and delivery of inbound/outbound goods; This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining program specific logistics technical documentation, such as: Logistics Schedules, Action Item Tracking Sheets, Program Briefs & Presentations. Calculating procurement lead time, repair turnaround time. Cross-training and backup of other employees. Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule pick-up of goods; Arranges for movement of freight to consignee/agent and updates the system with information; Processes necessary invoices to appropriate office for payment; Assist and evaluate needs with shipping points, services, weights and freight permits, and other information needed. Controls the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between points of origin through customer placement to meet customer requirements. May also plan, schedule, and manage the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production. Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistic processes. Logistics functions encompass maintenance, supply, transportation, and logistics plans. Inherently included as logistics tasks are program formulation, policy planning, and coordination.
Qualifications Required Education and Experience:
Bachelors and three (3) years or more of related experience. Three (3) + years of Leadership experience; logistics coordinator, office and mail room related experience preferred. Advanced customer service skills, professional attitude & appearance. Strong organizational, administrative, record keeping & time management skills. Ability to handle multiple projects at one time. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Dependable, reliable, detail oriented with good organizational skills as well as have self-initiative. Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a public trust clearance. Active clearances accepted.
