A Logistics Analyst analyzes steps of a company's logistics process to identify trends, develop optimization strategies, and streamline processes. Uses statistical models to simulate logistics issues, manufacturing capabilities, or optimal outputs.
This role will provide operational support for parcel transportation activities across North America and international sites. This role serves as a key point of contact for parcel-related inquiries, shipment setup, carrier issue resolution, shipment visibility, and operational reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders and parcel carriers including FedEx, UPS, and DHL to support daily transportation operations and ensure high levels of customer service. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The role relies heavily on MS Excel and Outlook for daily activities, with Power BI experience considered a plus. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Support day-to-day parcel transportation activities and shipment management. Monitor shipment status, identify service disruptions proactively, and coordinate corrective actions with carriers. Investigate and resolve parcel shipment issues including delays, lost shipments, billing discrepancies, and delivery exceptions. Serve as a liaison between internal customers and parcel carriers including FedEx, UPS, and DHL. Support parcel account administration and customer inquiries. Maintain operational documentation, process guides, and standard work instructions. Utilize Excel to analyze shipment, service, and cost data. Maintain tracking logs and dashboards to support transportation visibility.
Must Haves:
Previous experience in logistics/transportation preferably in air and small parcel shipping Proficient at basic MS suite such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Power BI is an add on Communication via Outlook PowerPoint for recurring reviews with freight forwarders Knowledge of frequently used excel formulas Self-driven, accountable, proactive problem-solver, good communication skills, and ability to work independently
Education:
While candidates with completed degrees are preferred, a degree is not required to be considered for this position
