We're looking for an analytical and operationally minded Inventory Analyst to take ownership of inventory performance across our Houston-area operations. This is not a transactional inventory or cycle-counting role — we need someone who can think strategically about what inventory we carry, how inventory supports the business, and where opportunities exist to improve efficiency and reduce excess inventory over time.Who You Are:
You are analytical, operationally minded, and naturally take ownership of the systems and processes around you. You do not view inventory as simply counting products — you understand how inventory impacts cash flow, customer service, operational efficiency, and overall business performance. If you eat, think, and sleep inventory - we are ready for you.Responsibilities:
Take ownership of inventory management strategy and day-to-day inventory performance Manage and improve inventory logic including: Min/max levels Reorder points Restock processes Inventory controls Cycle count processes Inventory purchasing recommendations Analyze inventory trends, usage patterns, and product movement to optimize inventory investment Identify slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory and provide actionable recommendations to reduce deadstock Develop visibility into SKU performance and recommend which products to reduce, maintain, or expand Partner with sales teams and shop supervisors to identify opportunities to better support customer inventory needs Support customer-specific inventory programs by identifying and managing strategic SKUs Improve inventory accuracy across shops and mobile warehouse operations Monitor inventory KPIs including inventory turns, stock levels, inventory value, and count accuracy Utilize ERP systems and reporting tools to track inventory performance and support data-driven decision making Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, warehouse, purchasing, supervisors, and leadership teams Recommend and implement process improvements that improve inventory efficiency while maintaining strong service levelQualifications:
3-5+ years of inventory analysis, inventory management, materials management, supply chain, or industrial operations experience Experience within manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or parts-heavy environments required Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into operational decisions Experience working within ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Epicor, or similar Strong Excel and inventory reporting experience preferred Understanding of inventory optimization, inventory controls, forecasting, and operational efficiency principles Ability to work both in the data and operationally on the floor with teams Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Self-starter with a proactive mindset and strong sense of ownership Equal Employment Opportunity Clause We are proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
